FTII JET 2021- The schedule for orientation and interview has been released. Candidates can check the schedule to appear in the orientation and interview on the respective dates. The FTII JET 2021 exam was held on December 18 and December 19, 2021. FTII JET is a written test of three hours’ duration consisting of objective type and subjective questions and was conducted in 27 cities across India. FTII JET was conducted in offline mode (pen-paper mode). This year, SRFTI is the organizing institute of JET 2021.
What is FTII JET?The FTII JET is a national level entrance exam is conducted annually for candidates who want to take admission in postgraduate and post-graduate diploma courses. A Joint Entrance Test (JET) is conducted by the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata to shortlist candidates for admission offered by the two institutes. FTII JET admit card will be available for download on the official website of the institute from December 8, 2021 to December 17, 2021. The hall ticket is a mandatory document that a registered student must produce at the time of JET exam. The admit card for FTII JET exam would be issued for only those candidates who have duly filled and submitted their application form.

FTII JET syllabus includes topics like: Art & craft of Film & TV, Allied Arts, Literature, General Awareness, Environmental Awareness, General Knowledge related to Art & Culture and Media etc for Part A of Paper I and in Part B of Paper I subject specific questions are asked. Paper II is subjective and it includes long descriptive questions, questions (includingsketches photographs etc.) and short note question based on subject. FTII JET PatternThe FTII JET exam is conducted annually in offline (pen-paper) mode. The paper has two parts: Paper I and Paper II. While Paper I is objective type, Paper II is descriptive. Candidates had to appear for JET exam and those qualifying the exam will be shortlisted for interview round. The exam pattern for FTII JET is such that aspirants had to attempt multiple choice and descriptive questions in three hours duration. Question Paper will consist of maximum 100 marks, which will be further sub-divided as below;
Note: Each wrong answer will be awarded -0.25 marks (negative marks) in Paper I of FTII JET exam.
Question and Answer booklet of Paper I will be distributed to the candidates 10 minutes before the scheduled time of the examination and will be collected back 90 minutes after the commencement of examination.In the case of Paper II, the Question and Answer booklet will be distributed to the candidates, only after 80 minutes of commencement of examination and will be collected immediately after 180 minutes of the commencement of examination.
FTII JET 2021 Application ProcessCandidates who want to take admission in either of two institutes (FTII or SRFTI), will have to fill the FTII JET 2021 application form. The Candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions as per the instruction and advertisement declared by the institute. Candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps to successfully register themselves for FTII JET.
Step 1: Register for JET
Candidates can fill the JET 2021 application form which is available on the official website of the entrance exam. Aspirants will have to create a login ID and will need to provide their details. Once the details are filled in, candidates need to confirm their registration.
Step 2: Completion of application form
Candidates need to login with their application number and date of birth to complete the second step of their registration. In this step, candidates had to fill their personal information like address, id proof number, educational details etc.
Step 3: Select the test centre
FTII JET is being conducted in 27 cities across the country. Candidates can fill three choices for the test centre.
Step 4: Upload the documents
Candidates need to upload their photograph, signature, educational documents and reservation certificates (if any).
Step 5: Pay the application fee
After successfully submitting the form, candidates need to proceed to payment option and pay the application fee. Candidates can pay the fee online through Credit Card/ Debit Card etc. Candidates can pay the below mentioned application fee:

Step 6: Get the FTII JET admit card
Candidates can download their admit card from the official website of the entrance exam. Make note that the hall tickets will be released online only and it is a mandatory document that one must produce at the time of examination. Failing to do so will result in the cancellation of candidature.
FTII JET Eligibility CriteriaCandidates who wish to take admission in FTII or SRFTI must be eligible to sit for the FTII JET 2021 entrance exam. Aspirants must be above 21 years of age and the minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for application for all courses except Art Direction & Production Design is Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in any discipline. For Art Direction & Production Design, the eligibility is as under:

Courses under the EDM (SRFTI) /TV (FTII) Group : The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for application for all courses is Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in any discipline.
Note: Candidates appearing for the final year of their Bachelor's degree, and awaiting results, can also apply for JET 2021. However, it may be noted that such candidates, if selected, are allowed to join the programme, only if they submit a passing certificate from the Controller of Examinations/ Principal/Registrar or any other equivalent competent authority of the University/ Institution, stating that candidate has appeared for his/ her graduation examination in the academic year 2021-22 and based on this examination, he/she is a graduate.
FTII JET Admission ProcessCandidates seeking admission to Film and Television Institute of India, Pune and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata have to follow the process as under:
Step 1: JET Entrance Exam
Once receiving the admit cards, candidates can sit for the FTII JET entrance exam. The exam duration will be of three hours and will be offline (pen and paper test). The exam will be divided into two parts – MCQ (multiple-choice questions) and Descriptive. The exam will be of 100 marks.
Step 2: Appear for Interview
Candidates who will be shortlisted will receive a letter from the university notifying them of the same. Candidates will be called for the second round – Interview. Candidates will be called after the JET entrance exam score card are released.
Step 3: JET entrance exam result
The results for the entrance exam is usually released within 30 days after the conclusion of the exam. The results for FTII JET will be released online only. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their results by visiting the official website - ftii.ac.in. The FTII JET score will be valid till September 30, 2022.
Step 4: Undergo the medical test
Candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of JET 2021 will be required to undergo a medical test as per the selection criteria of both institutes. This medical test is conducted by the Medical Officer(s) appointed by the respective institutes. The candidature of a shortlisted candidate can be cancelled on the basis of the outcome of the Medical test. The decision of respective institutes in this regard would be final & binding on all concerned.
